If you have the November issue of MacWorld magazine, turn to page 35, or if you don't have it handy, click here for the electronic version of the ChatBarrier X3 10.3 review. I can't help but notice how closely this review of ChatBarrier mirrors my "review" that I posted back in June right here in this blog. The mention of "military-grade" encryption still causes this involuntary rolling of my eyes...
Anyway, the best part of the review is in the last paragraph: "If you require confidential chats, then a program such as Fire (which uses GPG, or "open PGP") or BitWise Communications' BitWise (which uses the Crypto++ library) may better serve your encryption needs." There you have it! The review is for a product that is supposed to make your chats confidential, but if you really need confidentiality, use BitWise.
its too bad that they didnt provide a link to the bitwise site, otherwise you would probably gain a lot more users.
You know what they say, beggars can't be choosers! :) We'll take it over nothing.
