Without a doubt, my favorite picture from my recent trip to England is the one of London's Tower Bridge open for ship traffic. Perhaps it's overly sentimental of me, but one of my strongest memories of being in London when I was 6 years old was Tower Bridge opening on my birthday. When we went into London a few weeks ago, I hoped that I would be so lucky, and even though it wasn't my birthday, it was still a thrill to see it again.
What was really odd is that usually when you go back somewhere, everything seems smaller than you remember. The Tower Bridge actually was a lot bigger than I remember. I'm not sure if that means anything, but it's one of the few times I've ever said, "Wow, that's bigger than I remember it" after going back somewhere that I haven't been in a long time.
Hopefully it's not too painfully obvious that I'm really short on material at the moment. :) Maybe the drought will continue and I can put up some more pictures from my trip.
