Most individuals like to google themselves to see where they are mentioned on the Internet. I would bet that most small or mid-size companies (maybe even some large ones) also google themselves to find "the buzz" on the Internet about the company. Every once in a while, I try searches for "BitWise" or "BitWise Chat" or other various related word combinations. For a long time, a search for "BitWise" by itself listed BitWise Chat as the #2 result.
BitWise is no longer #2. BitWise Chat is now the #1 result on a search for BitWise, out of 429,000 hits. Considering all of the other businesses with BitWise in their name, or the fact that some languages like C/C++ have a bitwise operator, we are quite proud of the significance of this rating. That's a lot of people who are linking to us to have boosted us to #1 in the rankings! What a powerful testimony to the size of the BitWise community.

You can also do a google search on "world's best freeware", and the site that comes up #1 lists Bitwise as the best IM program. What a coincidence! ;)
