The FAQ as documentation

Posted at November 9, 2004 10:12 PM in BitWise .

Much my delight, I was speaking with a user the other day who told me that he had actually read through almost the entire FAQ because it contained a wealth of useful information. In my dreams and wildest fantasies, every user reads the FAQ. ;) Back here in reality, though, he pointed out that the FAQ isn't very friendly for someone who wants to read through all the questions and answers as pseudo-documentation because you have to click on each question separately. Thanks to the amazing power of modern computers and my modest PHP programming, you can now view all questions and answers on one page.

Maybe this alternative FAQ presentation will help make at least this one dream of mine come true. :) Enjoy!

I will take another look at the FAQ; I have been looking more at the webpage and found how the webservices work. Very cool features, I am discovering.

Yeah, I think that was a good idea. I don't think I read through the entire faq because of it, but I only skipped the uninteresting or ones I knew.
