George Lucas on 60 Minutes tomorrow

Posted at March 12, 2005 10:59 PM in Personal .

While I wouldn't classify myself as a "Star Wars nut/freak/whatever," I do like Star Wars. I haven't ever really gotten in to the post Return of the Jedi stuff, mostly because everything seems so nicely wrapped up that it seems a shame to learn about all the turmoil afterwards.

Anyway, I was eager to see the trailer for Episode 3 that was shown for the first time the other night on Fox (after the O.C., which I didn't watch, of course). While Episodes 1 and 2 have been a bit disappointing, I'm keeping high hopes for Episode 3. Maybe we'll all be wowed, who knows. :)

Anyway, George Lucas will be on 60 Minutes tomorrow, Sunday, March 13th, and I've read it will quite a variety show, with talk about plot, movie technology, sneak peeks at the movie, glipses into Lucas's life, etc.

Maybe you'll want to check it out, maybe not, but either way I've done my duty for my fellow Star Wars fans. After March 17th, my BitWise profile will be counting down the days to May 19th, to what will hopefully be the return-to-his-former-glory stunning conclusion to the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. If nothing else, at least the soundtrack should be traditional John Williams excellence. :)
