There are no spoilers in this post.
Unless you either live under a rock or have pretty much no interest in any pop culture, you probably are aware that the final Star Wars movie was released today. Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith lives up to the original trilogy much better than Episodes 1 or 2. I had been looking forward to its release for months and this afternoon I saw it. The acting is better, the pacing is better, the story is better, the emotional connection with the audience is better, and, mostly importantly, it connects with the original trilogy in both obvious and subtle ways that really unify the six movies better than I even expected. Padme with the Leia hair buns made me chuckle. :)
In other news, I received a majority of the galley proofs for the wxWidgets book today, I think it's about a ream's worth of pages. Last week we processed about 150 pages. The real kicker is that it's all supposed to be read and comments sent back to Prentice Hall by Wednesday. If the dark side of The Force could do this proofreading for me, I'd probably turn too...
Lastly, the toolbar background transparency issue on Mac OS X, was, as I predicted, quickly resolved. My public service announcement from two days ago is hereby revoked. I'm sure it was really useful to everyone... ;)
I saw Episode III on sunday ! and it was very VERY nice !!! I loved it very much, but I recommend to view the attack of the clones volume I & II cartoons before seeing the movie!
