A few slices of Kevin pie

I don't have one major thing to post about today, but since I haven't posted since Wednesday, here's a smattering of short blurbs:

- BitWise is now "leetware." Check it out. Look at the August 25th entry.

- The BitWise Wiki got a nice start on life earlier this week. I think all of the documentation could actually be gradually moved over, and the wiki easily allows other interesting documentation, like a index of BitWise terms.

- BitWise Plus got a nice start on life later in the week. The encryption handling works great, and most of the key loading and key management has been added. The key viewing and verification still has to be added so you can view your contacts' Plus keys, or be alerted if their public key has changed or gone AWOL.

On more personal notes:

- The expression, "I could care less" absolutely drives me nuts. If you could care less, then do care less. For example, I don't care much about golf. But does it make sense to say, "I could care less about golf?" I don't care at all, so how could I care less? And if I could care less, I would! The correct expression is "I couldn't care less about golf," but it seems the first (incorrect, IMHO) phrasing is rather entrenched in many people's minds. Maybe someone can explain the "I could care less" phrase, because I really don't get it.

- I noticed my Google Talk post attracted many more comments than many of my posts, re-iterating that controversial posts seem to attract the most attention. Makes me wonder if I should relegate news to some other outlet and make this "the finger-keyboard controversy" instead of the "the finger-keyboard synapse" in order to promote readership. ;)

Have a great weekend everyone. With both the wiki and Plus in the works, there should be more news soon!

I could care less about how people use the phrase "I could care less" when they mean "I couldn't care less." It bothers me, too.

maybe we come lurk to see if you can make a cool jabah client with a gmail notifier.

Maybe I'm just to impressed with this text on the google page?

"Once you purchase and download Trillian Pro, you'll need to configure your client to connect to the Google Talk service....

If you want this on MSN or yahoo it would costs at least a million per year?

I'm still looking for an excuse to invite people to bitwise. I even found a mac user who refused to use bitwise. Jabber support wasn't interesting up to now I guess?

anyway for me "users" is the bigger feature. The rest is extra. Maybe buy some users? I hear good adds are cheaper. :)

..and you were reluctant to appreciate my controversial ways =P
