LinuxWorld Brief Update

Today was the second day of LinuxWorld, and was the first day of my presentations. I actually got to go twice, presenting over the lunch hour at 12:30 when no one else was scheduled. May as well make the best of it, right? The talks have gone very well, and I have been very happy to sell and autograph quite a few copies.

Perhaps one of the most interesting coincidences was the Kirix Strata booth being next to the Prentice-Hall booth. Strata is one of the applications featured in Appendix F in the wxWidgets book as a major application using wxWidgets. They had only positive things to say about wxWidgets, and tomorrow during my last presentation(s) (I may get to fill in for someone who never confirmed that they were coming), I will be sure to mention Strata and encourage people to take a look at their booth to see a real application right there at the show made with wxWidgets!

Tomorrow late afternoon then is the trip to tour Alcatraz, and then Friday is the return home. The return takes practically all day due to the time change, but that's alright. It will be good to get back after a relaxing and fun vacation, and a productive and enlightening presence at LinuxWorld. I'll have more to talk about when I return.
