The service for my grandmother was Sunday afternoon up near Chicago. It was nice to see some family and friends that I haven't seen in a while. I was reminded by the pastor that even though funerals are sad events, they are also a celebration of life. How can you not celebrate 98 years of life?
The trip up and back was largely uneventful, but driving along I-65 I think I saw more Pontiacs per capita than I have ever seen before. Did I miss the memo a few years ago that required everyone to purchase either a Pontiac Grand Am or a Pontiac Grand Prix? I don't ever remember seeing such a high concentration of the same model of car on the road.
Hey, you gotta do something to stay awake on long stretches of straight boring highway! :)
