Gaming becomes a social disease?

They can't stop playing video games (CNN)

Jun Mung-gyu remembers the throbbing pain in his head and shoulder aches from spending as many as 15 hours a day hunched over a computer keyboard battling his online foes.

"You have no life, you only focus on gaming, putting off everything, like getting a haircut," recalled the 27-year-old Jun, who was able to kick the habit earlier this year though he remains in the milieu, running an Internet cafe in southeastern Seoul.

I'm speechless, I really am. I guess my teenage years as a computer geek with mild acne weren't so bad in comparison to this.

Ever since I started working full time I feel like I don't get enough computer. At work I'm at my computer for 7+ hours, but it's not doing what I want, so I don't consider it as part of my daily computer intake. So when I get home I try to spend a lot of my time at my computer, but it's never enough time to do everything I want. I wish I could spend 15hours at my computer! I guess this guy didn't have a job?

Yes, I think it's reasonable to say he didn't have a job. How could you if you were playing games for 15 hours a day--leaving only 9 hours for eating, sleeping, working, etc?

"running an Internet cafe in southeastern Seoul"

I assume he played during work hours also?
