Knowing that Bitwise is a part of the larger IM world, users frequently forward articles or reviews to me. However, I particularly like hearing what our users think of some of the other messengers' new versions. I'd like to share this really informal review that I received the other day about MSN 8:
Ugh.. I just an invitation for MSN 8 live beta... it looks good, but its horrible. My contact list just filled up with 50 contacts that I had deleted over the last few years. The size of the contact list is crushed by the things that surround it. Here's a pic: removed for privacy. That's the full resolution of my laptop, so i can see only 15 contacts at a time.A few minutes later...
80MB RAM usage. This is total bulls***.There you have it, folks. Welcome to the next generation of instant messaging from the big guys.
