I'm sure some of you have been wondering what the clues were a few weeks ago about "a new nova in the galaxy." Some of you have figured it out--my hats off to you. Perhaps if you knew that we have servers named nova and galaxy for OxONet, it would have made sense. As some of you also know, BitWise and OxONet are intertwined, including sharing servers.
So, what exactly is going on, then? We have some brand new state-of-the-art servers installed in a new co-location center, and we will be migrating to the new servers during the evening on Friday the 10th. This move will provide some great local opportunities for both OxONet and BitWise. There will be some downtime that evening, but it should be fairly minimal since bringing BitWise back online is priority #1.
In the meantime, anyone who wants to help test BitWise on the new servers can drop me a line. We have BitWise running and have done some preliminary testing, but anyone who wants to beat on all the doors and look in all the nooks & crannies would certainly be very much appreciated.
