Lastly, the past couple of days have involved some head-scratching wondering why metal-enabled windows on the Mac version are showing up totally white, as shown in the screenshot posted in the forums. The cause was finally located deep within the wxWidgets code. Basically, the way that the metal status is stored and set was changed, but the old way that left various state variables out of sync was still available. The irony was that the offending line had absolutely nothing to do with window appearance, which is why the solution was somewhat elusive.
Stories like that just make you wish you were a programmer, don't they?
