I stood before the ghost of computing past
In case any of you noticed I've been AWOL (not likely) or missed me (even less likely), I have a very good explanation. I was on vacation in Washington DC. I have to say that vacationing there is great because almost everything is free (well, not really, it's our tax dollars at work). Anyway, one of the high points of the trip was visiting the Smithsonian museum where I took this picture:
Yes, folks, my beloved hero from yesteryear has its own little place in computing history at the Smithsonian. It was all I could do to stop myself from kneeling in reverance and awe. All behold the mighty C64!

I still have one. The main fuse has been replaced by a short aluminium wire as a cheap replacement — but it works like a charm.
I only have a tape unit though.
